All permanent employees have access to an annual professional development budget**.** Examples of what can be claimed through this budget include*:

• Professional Skills Courses - Linkedin Learning, Ofcourse, Udemy, Coursera, Skillshare, Futurelearn
• International Education Workshops - by NAFSA, EAIE, Forum, and more.
• Business Reading Apps - Blinkist, MentorBox, and more
• Role Specific Courses - Google Analytics Certification, Consultative Sales Certification
• Conferences - Both online and offline

*There is no definitive list of how employees can use their budget, however as a general principle managers will approve requests if the budget is used on something that will tangibly improve a current role/benefit the company.

Some Details

• Your budget will increase for each year you work at VI
• Your budget is based on your start date. It is not part of your annual salary, therefore, there is no reimbursement in case of an outstanding budget
• Your budget cannot be rolled over if unused. For example, if you do not use your budget in year 1, it will automatically be forfeited
